The McFarland Bird Festival will take place Saturday, May 10 from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Lewis Park Shelter. This event is free and open to the public.

Bird Festival

From 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 10th, visit the Lewis Park shelter to experience all the festival has to offer.  This all-ages event is free and open to everyone.

Bird Raffle starts April 14 and goes through the Bird Festival.  Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.

McFarland Bird Festival Raffle 

Raffle tickets are available starting April 14!  Purchase with cash or check (made out to "Friends of McFarland Parks") at the library's front desk and the day of the festival.  

Win great prizes while supporting birding in McFarland! Prizes include birdhouses, photo prints, and more! You do not need to be present to win.

Shawn Miller and Alex Arnold will participate in the Great Wisconsin Bird-a-thon on Saturday, May 17.  Any donations made in their name will go toward Purple Martin Housing and replacing damaged housing in McFarland.

Join Shawn Miller and Heidi Cox on a Guided Bird Walk!  The walks will take place on Wednesday, May 7 (at Indian Mound Park) and Wednesday, May 14 (at Orchard Hill Park), from 7-9 AM.  Registration is required and will be available starting April 22.

Guided Bird Walks

Join birders Shawn Miller & Heidi Cox on an early morning walk through the Indian Mound Park and/or Orchard Hill Park.  See which birds you can spot and identify!  Bring binoculars, wear good walking shoes, and dress appropriately for the weather.
