McFarland Senior Outreach and E.D. Locke Public Library are partnering for the 2025 Community Craft Project. The goal is to engage adults in collaborative crafting to create beautiful, functional textiles for community members in need.
We are in need of material donations! We are seeking smaller pieces of fabric for quilt squares and larger pieces for quilt backs.
Donations Needed:
Washed, smoke-free 100% cotton fabric (no flannels)
New cotton poly-fill batting 45" x 60"
Polyester or cotton thread (any color)
Quilt square kits will be available to pick up at the library starting April 1. Each kit will include pre-cut fabric and directions. There will be multiple patterns to choose from. All you will need is thread and the ability to sew the quilt square together! Want to create your own? Stop in to pick up a direction packet that includes required measurements, or use this link to view the document online.
Drop off completed squares at E.D. Locke Public Library or McFarland Municipal Center Lobby. Questions? Contact Katie at Senior Outreach (608-838-7117).
Senior Outreach will also continually update their website with new information: https://mcfarland.wi.us/542/Community-Craft-Project
