McFarland Caring Quilts is the 2024 community craft project developed by the E.D. Locke Public Library and McFarland Senior Outreach. Its goal is to engage older adults in creative, collaborative crafting to make beautiful, functional textiles for community members in need.
We are excited to show off the fruits of YOUR labor with a gallery opening and reception on Saturday, November 16, 10 AM-12 PM. Stop by the library community room to grab some coffee and pastries, and sign up to win a door prize (all lovingly made by our quilting volunteers). Listen to a short presentation at 10:30, recognizing the hard work and dedication of the people of McFarland. Walk through the library to see all the quilts made by YOU and for YOUR community members in need.
Still want to participate? We are looking for quilting memories/stories to add to our gallery opening. Head to this form to share a quilting story with us! Know of someone you feel needs one of our quilts? Nominate someone today! And tell all your friends and family members to come to the reception!
Thank you for making this project a success!
