This weekly event for teens involves two things (and you’ll never guess what they are): snacking and chatting. Head to the library meeting room on Monday afternoons to grab some food and hangout with your friends!

UN-BOOK CLUB
First Thursday of the month
4 - 5 PM
Calling ALL teen readers! Come and join the brand new teen UnBook Club at the library! What’s an unbook club you may be asking? It’s a book club where there is no required reading; read whatever you want, discuss books you love with other readers, and get recommendations for future reads. No pressure, no deadlines, just a place to talk about books with other teens!

TEEN HANGOUT
2nd and 4th Thursday of the month
4 - 5 PM
Are you a teen? Do you need a place to hang out and decompress after school? We’ve got you covered! Make your way to the library twice a month for a relaxed Teen Hangout with space to do a craft, play games, or simply chill with your friends.
*No Teen Hangouts on September 26th

TEEN STEAM
3rd Thursday of the month
4 - 5 PM
Experiments, robotics, and other projects to come in our monthly Teen STEAM program! STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, so there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy! Join us once a month for a new project where teens can try new things and problem solve with friends.

TEEN AFTER HOURS
Monthly events - 3rd Friday of the month
5:30 - 7 PM
Once a month, teens are welcome to come take over the library after hours! Each month brings a new, special event including new experiences, games, art, and more. *Registration required

TEEN DUNGEONS & DRAGONS
MONTHLY EVENTS (SEE DATES BELOW)

Join us once a month for new adventures each and every time! Whether you are a beginner or expert at D&D, all teens in grades 6-12 are welcome to join in on the journey. Registration is required for each event; space is limited!

BECOME A VOLUNTEEN!
Monthly meetings, every 2nd Wednesday of the month

Want to earn volunteer hours and have fun along the way? Volunteer at the library and join the library VolunTeens! Library VolunTeens help with events at the library, planning and decisions for teen programs, and contribute to our Teen Newsletter! Anyone in grades 6-12 is welcome to be a VolunTeen. :)

TEEN CROCHET PARTY

For beginners to experts, come enjoy knitting, crochet, or other yarn crafts with fellow teens! Beginners can learn basic crochet skills, terminology, and make a simple project to take home!

TEEN SELF-DEFENSE CLASS
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15
4:30 PM
Come learn basic self defense techniques at the library for the price of a donation to the food pantry! Hunter from Infinity Martial Arts will teach participants exercises to protect themselves from potential harm. Sign up for the family session (children ages 5-10 and their adults) or teen session (teens in grades 6-12) to join in on the fun.

ACT Diagnostic Testing
Tuesday, March 11
9:30 AM - 1 PM
Calling all local Sophomores, we have a great opportunity for you! While Juniors are taking the ACT, come get a FREE diagnostic ACT test on Tuesday, March 11th! E. D. Locke Public Library, along with other local libraries are partnering with Galin Education to offer a realistic ACT experience. Help with any testing jitters and better your studying by trying out the test ahead of time.
Please bring your own calculator.
